Where is Canyon Country CA Located?
Canyon Country CA is located about 40 miles north of downtown Los Angeles and is situated on the north east end of the City of Santa Clarita. It's most easily accessible from interstate 14 however it can also be accessed from interstate 5 in Valencia. It's sometimes considered the northern gateway to Acton CA and the Antelope Valley. Canyon Country can be a popular stop for prospective homebuyers because the homes are a bit more affordable than those next door in Valencia.

Some home buyers don't like the idea of homeowner associations and the rules and regulations associated with such. If this sounds like you, you'll love Canyon Country!
Unlike Valencia, many of homes for sale in Canyon Country are in neighborhoods without HOA's. There are pro's and con's, but not having an homeowner's association can be advantageous, especially if you don't like having to abide by the whims of the neighborhood HOA.
Be careful though when buying a home in a newer neighborhood! Most newer developments come with Mello Roos taxes and the annual cost can range from insubstantial to, ouch! Here in Canyon Country and throughout Santa Clarita we have plenty of restaurants, department stores, home improvement stores, and some very highly regarded schools.
If considering buying a home in Canyon Country, take the time to have a meal at Rattlers BBQ! This restaurant has been around for what seems like forever, and for good reason. Everyone loves it! The delicious food and friendly service are both exceptional, and the location is quite convenient. Also, you might be interested to know one of our favorite spots to stop for a quick lunch is over at Route 66. They are locally owned and the service is outstanding.
Next, while you're looking a homes for sale in Canyon Country, there's a little restaurant called Route 66. They host a weekly bike nights and popular car shows on a regular basis. What really makes Route 66 special is their willingness to give back to the community. We have seen them help others time and time again and they are a perfect example of a local business doing their part to help others.
