Lifestyle Choices – Condo, Townhome or House
For some, living in a Valencia townhome or condo is a more preferred lifestyle as opposed to a single family home, or house. Often, home buyers can find nice sized townhomes for sale with smaller yards, thus resulting in less maintenance. In fact, depending on the type of homeowner’s association, residents may find their exterior maintenance is taken care entirely by the HOA. This is a huge benefit, however the monthly dues can be costly. Also, some think buying a condo will be less costly than buying a house. This is true to some extent, but in Valencia some condos or townhomes will seem a bit costly. The price for condos or townhomes in Valencia will usually be higher than many other areas in Santa Clarita.
Difference Between Detached and Attached Valencia Townhomes
Basically, there are three types of townhomes found in Valencia. The first type is a “duplex or attached unit.” This is a single structure shared by two residents, but separated by a common wall. The second townhome type is referred to as a detached townhome. This townhome resembles a house and there are no shared common walls. Each unit looks and feels just like a single family home. Usually, detached houses are situated closer to each other, with very small yards, but most have two car garages. There are also some tri-level homes, especially popular in the newer developments.
