About Sierra Hills
Sierra Hills is an established neighborhood located in the Canyon Country area of Santa Clarita. Developed primarily during the mid to late 1960s, the community consists of approximately 224 homes and is situated just north of Soledad Canyon Road and west of Sand Canyon Road.
One of the neighborhood’s most recognizable features is the Sierra Hills Swim & Racquet Club, which provides residents with access to some terrific recreational amenities. The community is also conveniently located near shopping, dining, schools, and Oak Spring Canyon Park.
Although newer developments have emerged nearby over the years, Sierra Hills remains a popular choice for buyers seeking a traditional neighborhood setting in Canyon Country.
Home Descriptions
Homes in Sierra Hills were built primarily during the late 1960s and feature a mix of one- and two-story floor plans. Most homes offer three to five bedrooms, front and back yards, and two-car garages, with some properties also providing RV parking. Interestingly, a few homes are situated on lots that slope downward behind the property. In some cases, homeowners have added raised decks that create additional outdoor living space while taking advantage of the terrain.
Home sizes generally range from approximately 1,450 to 2,500 square feet, offering a variety of options for households of different sizes. Architectural styles vary throughout the neighborhood, reflecting the era in which the homes were originally constructed.
Another benefit for many buyers is the absence of Mello Roos, helping to keep ongoing ownership costs lower than some newer communities in the area.
