Overview of The Cabot Bay
Overall, Cabot Bay is a terrific neighborhood and just one of three condo/townhome subdivisions in Bridgeport. It’s situated on the west side of the lake and depending on the location, some residents enjoy lakeside views. The common area landscaping includes well maintained greenbelts, developed walkways, gorgeous trees and projects a feeling of peace and tranquility.
The attached townhomes here are split level homes and all have that professional designer look and feel. Typically, each home has a lower level entry way and living room. Go up a short flight of stairs to land on the kitchen, dining area, downstairs bathroom and a family room. The top level includes the bedrooms and bathrooms. Each unit includes a laundry closet, a 2 car direct access garage and balcony and/or enclosed patio.
Generally there are three different home sizes as follows:
- The largest home is 1,680 SF with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- The mid sized unit is sized at 1,499 SF with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- The smallest home comes with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms sized at 1,307 SF.
As one might expect, the housing here is more costly than similar condos or townhomes in other nearby neighborhoods and those considering purchasing a home should verify the HOA’s before making an offer. Yes, there are two HOA’s, but the amenities are quite exceptional.
Although the Cabot Bay townhomes are quite nice, the shared common areas are outstanding and residents enjoy the same over the top amenities available to all Bridgeport residents. There’s a gorgeous man made lake, trails and paseos, a large recreation area with swimming pools, hot tub, lounge areas, a clubhouse and much more. It’s obvious the locals are proud of their community and the large lighthouse on the corner is a Valencia Landmark! Schools & Parks
Bridgeport Elementary and Bridgeport Park is situated next door, just east of the community. There are 2 other parks on the other side of Newhall Ranch Road. Other nearby schools include Valencia High and Rio Norte Junior High.
