Bouquet Canyon Parks
Almost all of the older neighborhoods have no homeowner’s associations. Then, some areas do have HOA’s but the cost is very minimal and include the use of private parks, pools, spas and more. Be careful of the newer developments as these often include higher HOA costs and sometimes an extra Mello Roos tax.
For those searching for nice communities without HOA’s, there a good number from which to choose. Contact us directly for a full list!
Those living in Bouquet Canyon enjoy the lovely Bouquet Canyon Park. With plenty of mature shade trees, the park is peaceful and serene. Also, the park includes restrooms, picnic tables, tennis courts, basketball courts and a wonderful baseball diamond!
Other parks include Central Park, Santa Clarita Park, Copper Hill Park and a few small private neighborhood parks such as Grove Park and Caraway Park located in the Bouquet Canyon Homes of the Citation neighborhood.
If there are any drawback to Bouquet Canyon we’d have to say it’s a lack of easy access to the Santa Clarita trail systems. Because many of the developments are older, the city had not yet begun incorporating the trail systems into development plans, as they do today. Still, access to the trails isn’t too far away, but it’s not as easy as it is for those living in other areas.
Bouquet Falls and Bouquet Creek
Enjoy a hike along Bouquet Creek and find Bouquet Falls. It's is located at approximately the 9.9 mile marker up Bouquet Canyon from Santa Clarita. If you live in Santa Clarita, it’s a short drive up Bouquet Canyon and then a short hike up to see the waterfalls. The best time to visit will be during the Spring, especially after a wet winter.
CAUTION: While hiking, always be watchful of Poison Oak and during the hot months, watch for Rattle Snakes. The poison oak is pretty easy to avoid so just watch out and you should be okay.
Bouquet Falls can be quite nice however it's not officially maintained and you will see some graffiti here and there. Sometimes there's a bit of trash around however the last time we visited it was reasonably clean. Yes, there's a trail to follow that will take you to a couple different water fall locations but there is no actual trail head. You can find the location when searching Yelp or Google Maps.
