Woodlands Community Overview

Developed between 1999 and 2002, the Woodlands community spans approximately 185 acres of beautiful hills adorned with majestic oak trees and is bordered on two sides by the prestigious Valencia Country Club. As you drive through the main gated entrance, you’ll pass under a gorgeous, arched guard structure. It’s the perfect introduction to this spectacular community. From there, it’s immediately evident that the streets and common areas are meticulously maintained, projecting an overall feeling of peace and calm.

Although there are monthly HOA fees, its evident the residents in Woodlands enjoy numerous amenities and the exclusivity, privacy, and security of living in a guarded and gated community.

The Woodlands are are comprised of 4 separate subdivisions including Presidio, Garland, Carmelita, and Ironwood. The homes in Carmelita and Ironwood consist of detached condos sized from approximately 1,640 to 3,758 square feet. Over in Presidio and Garland, you’ll find traditional single-family homes ranging from around 2,963 to just over 6,000 square feet. Some homes even offer lovely views of the fairways.

Amenities in the Valencia Woodlands

Like most master-planned communities in Valencia, the Woodlands feature a homeowner’s association. HOA dues vary depending on the neighborhood and whether the home is considered a detached condo or a traditional single-family residence.

The recreational amenities are fantastic, all located at the secluded top edge of the community. They include a beautiful clubhouse, expansive greenbelt, a junior Olympic sized swimming pool, hot tub, half basketball courts, a tennis court and a small play area for the little ones. There are also developed trails extending throughout the community.

Serious hikers will be pleased to learn that the community is adjacent to numerous hiking trails in the nearby open space foothills. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the Valencia Country Club next door, which offers some neighborhoods beautiful views of the fairways.


Schools & Local Conveniences

There are no schools directly within the Woodlands community. Nearby schools include College of the Canyons, Bridgeport Elementary School, Rancho Pico Junior High and West Ranch High School. West Ranch is situated in the Valencia Westridge community.

Bridgeport Elementary is part of the Saugus Union School District. Rancho Pico and West Ranch are both part of the William S. Hart School District.

Local Conveniences
While there are no shopping or dining options directly within the community, a diverse array of choices is just a short drive away. In fact, Valencia is renowned for having some of the best shopping and dining in all of Santa Clarita. You’ll discover numerous excellent stores and restaurants at the nearby mall and along both sides of Valencia Blvd. Residents have access to everything they need within a one-mile drive.

Brief Home Descriptions

The beauty of the Woodlands community is enhanced by a variety of architectural styles, including Monterey and Santa Barbara designs. The homes are absolutely gorgeous and really are something special! These styles are reflected in both the single-family homes and the well-appointed detached condos. In fact, the condos here resemble traditional homes more than typical condos. Some of the homes may have their own casita, a lovely courtyard or an upstairs balcony, offering some terrific views of the next door golf course.

  • Carmelita: Smaller in size compared to other subdivisions, these detached condos range from 3 to 4 bedrooms and are approximately 1,640 to 2,356 square feet.
  • Ironwood: Also considered detached condos, but larger than those in Carmelita. The Ironwoods feature 3 to 5 bedrooms, ranging from approximately 2,660 to 3,758 square feet.
  • Garland: Traditional single-family homes ranging from 3 to 5 bedrooms, approximately 2,963 to 4,000 square feet.
  • Presidio: The largest estate-sized single-family homes in the community, featuring 4 to 6 bedrooms and ranging from approximately 3,464 to just over 6,000 square feet.
