The Hartford townhomes and condos are located within the River Village community of Saugus in Santa Clarita. Situated next to the Providence detached homes and the Kensington townhomes, these three neighboring communities are often collectively referred to as “the Hartfords.” While some residents and buyers reference them individually, all three neighborhoods are well-designed and equally appealing.

Overview of Hartford
The Hartford’s are newer townhomes and include all the trendy styles and designs. The Hartford units are sized large, from approximately 1,635 all the way up to 2,624 SF. Generally, the homes come with 3 to 4 bedrooms, 2 to 4 bathrooms and an attached 2 car garage. Some homes are actually have 3 levels. The open floor plans make the units appear quite large and the interior designs are nicely done.
Many of these Craftsman styled homes include energy efficient features such as tankless water heaters, radiant roof barriers and home wrap systems, keeping the homes cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is true with the homes in many of the newer developments and River Village is no exception.
Kensington Townhomes
The Kensington townhomes tend to slightly larger than those in Hartford. Some homes are 3 levels and come with up to 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
Providence Detached Homes
These 2 story, single family homes have 4 bedrooms and are sized from approximately 2,000 to 2,500 SF. Most with smaller yards.
Attention Buyers! There is a Mello Roos and more than one HOA fee for all three of these neighborhoods. Be sure to VERIFY the amounts BEFORE submitting a purchase offer. Hartford Amenities and Local Conveniences
The Hartford, Kensington and Providence Townhomes are really part of the same complex and all residents enjoy the same shared amenities including a gated pool and spa area with showers, playground, picnic and cooking area, fire pit and dog area. No matter the complex, the recreational amenities are just terrific.
Nearby Schools & Local Conveniences
The nearest high school is Saugus High. The closest middle school is Arroyo Seco Junior High. There are a couple of nearby elementary schools including Emblem Elementary and Rio Vista.
There’s a beautiful park across the street called, Duane R. Harte Park. It includes a large greenbelt, a trail system, playground and restrooms. We love visiting the park and walking the trails, surrounded by the preserved natural environment. Really a lovely walk and well worth a visit.
